Various activities in and around Mehring

Mehring, a little village on the river Moselle, has a lot to offer for people who like various activities. There is a variety of paths to be used for trips around the vineyards. Some suggestions can be found on the (German only) overview on mosel.de. If you do not understand German, feel free to ask at our reception for suggestions concerning your trips. If you like cycling, you should check the bicycle track „Moselradweg“. It takes you to Koblenz next to the river Moselle.

Guests interested in culture should definitely check Trier. It offers a variety of cultural activites and historical monuments. You can reach Germany’s oldest city via the motorway within 15 minutes. In Mehring, you should check the Villa Rustica, an ancient Roman mansion.

You can find events in Mehring itself on the official homepage (German only). We’s like to point out two special occasions. First of all, if you are interested in cycling, you should consider „Happy Mosel“, a yearly event offering cyclists free access to all the roads (inaccessible for normal traffic) and various activities in the villages. If you arrive in autumn, you should check the Wine Festival in Mehring. It is the oldest traditional festival of its kind on the Moselle.
